Long ago, a cat died from being fed four minutes past feeding time. Cats have told their children of this for 3,000 generations.
wow it's gorgeous!!
i know nothing about whether social media is addictive but i do know that legislation is being passed in this country that purports to protect children but is actually used to surveil and monitor members of at risk communities, and it’s getting passed fast.

i strongly regret attempting to push through symptoms in order to exercise more. be extremely careful. start with recumbent exercises too, no walking or anything like that. bed yoga is good.
my main advice is to take it extremely slow and watch out for signs of post-exertional malaise. take 3 days between each attempt. if you find yourself less functional for hours to days after exercise, physically or mentally, stop and look into ME/CFS
Can’t stress enough that this is terrible news for researchers, especially those of us without institutional library access. There are alternatives suggested in the comments but …
Happy polio vaccine announcement anniversary. "There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?" remains one of the hardest remarks of all time. Kind of quote every child should be taught
this week in "everything is a disability issue"
Oh, the usage of "colonized" here is a tell

why would you read harry potter (weird race science, main character grows up to be a cop) when you could read his dark materials (kids find and kill god)
"Many disabled people in media, myself included, owe a

Very much agree with these words by @sesmith.lol on Alice Wong.

i love this passage
You know what can contribute to latent TB activation? Weakened immune systems like, say, if we let an unchecked immune-weakening virus repeatedly pummel school kids. N95 masks and cleaning the air would help a lot but those are Not Allowed because why address a problem when you can ✨ignore✨ it? /s
literally leaving them for dead!!! and for what???
thankfully my ex didn't go that far but the fact that this is a whole genre of mistreatment is scary
i want Boston to NYC or Montreal in 2.5 hours, and NYC to Chicago in 8 hours. LA to SF in 4 hours. LET'S GO
“Tuberculosis spreads through the air, & a cough isn’t required to infect someone else—regular breathing can do the trick.”
then why oh why are clean air practices—filtration, purification, n95s—never mentioned in this piece? burying one’s head in the sand doesn’t do nearly as much as a mask.
oh wait reading a lighter version of this happened to me twice with my ex lol. not surprised by how common it is for men to be personally offended when you don't hike at their pace

usually a few days to a week, but i'm not sure where your baseline is. i'm on the moderate-severe end. limit any and all exertion as much as you can, including cognitive. that's probably the hardest part
This is musicology.
it's never worth the cognitive exertion
Seeing ICE detaining people at airports is so sickening and so are the details about the LGA plane crash. Just a fraction of the money they’re using to brutalize families could be spent on rehiring air traffic controllers, who they fired so they could brutalize more people
Local maskbloc Masks4EastVan is redistributing FREE boxes of N95s (3M Auras) to anyone/group/organization who needs them. 440 masks per case.

Also universities: no, we won’t pay to host it. Good luck.
