The Dungeon Master’s Kit (4E) and the Reavers of Harkenwold adventure booklets.
One of my favorite D&D adventures is Reavers of Harkenwold. It appeared in the 4E Dungeon Master’s Kit and was made by the same folks who created Lost Mine of Phandelver. Like Phandalin, Harkenwold is an awesome starter setting. It would be fun to update it for 5E. #50YearsOfDnD #dnd

The Beautiful Mess of 5E
Mike Mearls, Mike Shea, Shawn, and Teos discuss the many forms of 5E. We look at how D&D 5E was designed in a open way and how this impacts our hobby. Recorded at Gamehole Con!

I’m happy to share that I’m stepping into the role of Game Design Director for the Dungeons & Dragons TRPG. I'm immensely grateful to my team, my mentors, and everyone who has supported my career along the way.
A short 🧵 below!

Like a silly goose I absolutely forgot to tell y'all that I worked with Wizards of the Coast??? I wrote Scream of the Crop and Ballad of the Rat King for the new Welcome to the Hellfire Club box set!
We have a number of positions open within the D&D TRPG studio, including multiple Game Designer roles! If you're interested in joining our adventuring party, apply here and elsewhere on the Hasbro jobs portal: jobs.hasbro.com/job/Renton-G... #WOTCstaff #dnd
I’m in Belgium, in the beautiful city of Ghent. Yet there’s something here related to Dungeons & Dragons, but I can’t quite recall what it is… 🤔 #bg3 #dnd @larianstudios.com
The D&D adventure anthology #DragonDelves releases today. Ten adventures, ten dragons, and some trippy art! It was, for me, a particularly fun project to work on. Thanks to all the amazing artists, art directors, writers, editors, graphic designers, etc. who worked on it.

Also, we called our mutual friend @sageadvicednd.bsky.social and had a brief virtual chat together 💕 hoping to meet everyone again soon!

Today me and my wife Cristina had the pleasure to finally meet @justiceraminarman.bsky.social and his fantastic wife Sam since they were visiting Rome, my city! We had gelato and walkedwalkedwalked while chatting about everything - you're both a treasure 💕 thanks for the Afanas seal of approval 💕
I’m so happy @shawnmerwin.bsky.social wrote this simple and fun adventure for #dnd! This is an ideal adventure for aspiring Dungeon Masters. It guides you step-by-step, showing you how to handle situations at the table. BRAVO SHAWN! 👏
Worldbuilding Tip 23: If you want consequences of actions in your world to be vast and deep, you almost need to create multiple worlds as you create the first one. Who's in the village at the start of the events that play out, and then who is still around when the potential devastation happens?
Next up on our tour of each and every D&D/TSR release as seen by the tasty items on the shelves of The Gamehole is the first RPGA adventure exclusive. Released in 1982, we are going to enjoy R1: to the aid of falx. Here are my two original shrink copies.
Worldbuilding Tip 13: Knowing the plots of your adventures or stories help fill in details. Start with a solid core of world elements, but then add story and plot to the list of necessary references you use when you're building. Who are the characters helping, and who opposes them and why?
Shawn and Teos discuss Jeremy Crawford's departuer. A picture of him is superimposed between them.

Skill challenges have always fascinated me. The core design suffered from a lot of the process dysfunction that sank 4e, but I think the core idea makes a lot of sense. I've taken another tilt at that windmill over on my Patreon. Core works with any D&D-like game.

Grazie Chris, the world is your adventure now! 💖
Today I retire from Wizards of the Coast after 28 years. With D&D’s 50th anniversary wrapping up and the revised rulebooks doing gangbusters, this is the perfect fairytale ending for me. I can’t wait to enjoy D&D purely as a fan again, knowing the game is in good hands. See you in the Feywild!
Alright. I appreciate that you all have not fired me from my self appointed position as the TSR/D&D tour director on gross negligence grounds. So I am back and ready to resume! Up today from 1981 is the iconic module, L1: The Secret of Bone Hill. Here are my 1st print in original shrink copies.
Bellissimo! 😉
Man. So many incredible D&D modules were released in 1981. We have another one for today's stop in our tour of each and every D&D/TSR release. Enjoy some quality time with I1: Dwellers of the Forbidden City! Here are my 1st and 2nd printings in original shrink wrap.
FRPG GM Tip: Nothing in any game functions in isolation. In any encounter — combat or otherwise — stay open to what the characters’ actions in that encounter might lead to next. For every villain or NPC, think about what else they might do in addition to their primary narrative goal.

We roll on with our D&D/TSR release tour, currently in the year 1980. Up today is an incredibly important setting release, the first since OD&D was published a few years before: The World of Greyhawk folio. Here is my 5th printing in original shrink and my 2nd print copy.
The team has put a tremendous amount of effort into this set to make introducing D&D to new players easier and more exciting than ever. This is the Starter Set we all wish we had when we rolled our first d20s. ❤️ #WOTCstaff #dnd
I had the pleasure of interviewing Jeremy Crawford at Lucca Comics&Games24. We discuss the evolution of #DnD over the past 10 years and the upcoming releases. Questions are in Italian but Jeremy's answers are in English 🤓 #darksun #sageadvice #bg3

FRPG Player Tip: Arguments and disagreements can make for great roleplaying. But unless you know your group well and have established suitable boundaries, don’t look to create real conflict between characters. An adventuring party is about strength in numbers, and conflict eats away that strength.
To design games, your brain must work a bit differently. To create worlds, your brain must work a bit differently. To create stories and adventures, your brain must work a bit differently. You can only be so different. Get help in your #ttrpg creations when needed. Have a great gaming weekend!
