Feelings stab
like the sharp horn
of a karkadann

here again—
lost in the undersea flow
of nostalgic memories,
thinking I won't drown

any joy they bring is brittle,
yet the pain seems eternal

better to stay rooted
in the physical,
the here & now—
solid, real

away from the past's
fickle appeal.

Dawn breaks without the noise of songbirds, creatures old legends tell of, before the floods.

Children now sleep in high trees, as we scour for food below; hoping in the future, they’ll find a way to rid the invading monsters from #undersea —could there be, songbirds again.

There were a number of #undersea quests, usually involving some obscure magical protection, but, in general, characters in the game could only swim on the surface of water.

Which was a pity, because Rory had seen some intriguing ruins under some stretches of water, ever out of his reach.
