My dad’s property burned yesterday (luckily he/house/cattle are ok) and I live in the bush near West Gippsland and it’s getting very difficult to find affordable home insurance (many just won’t insure us at all). It hurts my head that nothing meaningful is being done about the climate.

Oh yeah they kinda scooped us 😅 But I think that two independent groups - one mostly made up of early-career researchers from the ND community and another which is high-level academics - had some similar ideas about how to approach the language issue is validation that we're on the right track
The language we use to talk about ADHD matters - it has real consequences for people with ADHD/ADHDers. This paper has been a long time in the making, so very glad to see it out in the world and very grateful for having such an amazing team work on it ❤️
Thank you for sharing!

One consequence of tolerating pseudoscience is that people die when its legitimatization becomes baked into our culture, health care systems, and institutions.

Vaccines don’t cause autism.
Vaccines aren’t even associated with autism.
The biggest predictor of autism?
GENETICS.
We have decades of data and millions of data points that to show this.
This lie insults people with autism too — as if it’s an “adverse effect” of medicine.
