Lovely day out at the Women in Entomology day at College Lake and the leps were out in numbers and I got a green hairstreak photo 😃

Getting there on the beaded fish... Still need to fix it to its final destination once the beading is done...

Its nearly March, which means its nearly BEEFLY TIME!

Here's a shot of one "Twerking" as @flygirlnhm.bsky.social put it, rubbing the eggs at the end of her abdomen on the ground so they get coated in sand grains. to gives them some ballast so she can fling them into solitary bee burrows!
