Grit bins We have around 500 grit bins at various locations across the borough to allow drivers and pedestrians to treat localised icy conditions.

Tonight is going to be cold and it is forecast to snow on Monday morning. Please check on any elderly neighbours who may not be able to get out safely in the icy weather. Information on grit bins in Cheshire East and their locations can be found at www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/highways_and...

The weather forecast for Thursday evening isn’t looking too bad, so do come along to the Cobbles at 6pm on Thursday for some heartwarming Carol singing. We have Carol sheets printed for the first 300 arriving and I am sure people will share if we get more than 300 attending.

Mill Pool Way road closure postponed until January 2026. So having done a letter drop 10 days ago warning residents of the road closure, I am now doing another letter drop to let them know the road won’t be closed on Monday.

The mood at the #LAB25 Conference in Liverpool has been upbeat and combative. Joe Fortune of the Co-op Party summed it up saying we want to Build a Better Britain not a bitter Britain. Where others promote division and hate, Labour builds hope.

At a New Statesman fringe meeting on pensions industry, a pension expert praised the ‘coherent package of measures’ in the Bill. The speaker also spoke of the industry moving ‘at pace’ alongside government - not a phrase normally associated with the pensions industry!
