Excellent isn't it, it certainly jostles for a place near the top for me...

The one and only!
Glorious isn't it...
The second film written for Hatton was disowned by Universal and sold to PRC after his death. Questionable taste but effective and oddly touching. 1946.

One of his very best....
Indeed she is! ๐ค
It's great fun. Enjoyably old-school (it feels old fashioned even for '66) with a terrific lead from O'Neal, it's hard to beat when you fancy some vintage horror horn!
And still as radiant as ever ๐ค
She gets everywhere these days...
Fantastic isn't it, one of the unsung greats of 70s giallo! And it's pretty hard to beat a bit of Bouchet in the morning...
The Red Queen Kills Seven Times. 1972. Classic giallo and gothic collide when an ancient family curse haunts a tormented Bouchet. Glorious Italian insanity.

Yep, I have that same @filmmasters.bsky.social release, along with several more of their genre releases. Not easy to get here in the UK but worth it!
Terrific isn't it, I own it too. And I'm guessing the character that freaked you out is the chauffeur? ๐ฑ๐
So excellent choices on there, with a few surprising entries too! Thanks for sharing ๐
Ah, I see. I understand your point but this was actually quite a big production, not a B Movie at all. But again, each to their own.
I've heard lots about Dark Shadows but never seen an episode, I'm not sure if it aired here in the UK?
Completely agree, it deserves far more recognition.
Understandable, it's an excellent film on so many levels. Low key compared to The Shining, which works quite brilliantly.
Wow, that sounds amazing! I love that genres like this are popular enough now to hold events like that, just wish there had been more a few years ago. I'll look forward to seeing your posts my friend! ๐ฝ๐ค
I haven't read either book, but the two Tryon film adaptions I've seen were both excellent and seriously creepy! Some fantastic memories of late night UK TV horror double bills! ๐ฑ
An excellent decision, one of my favourite genres...
Stunning film...
The Other is another fine film I've not seen in years. No idea about streaming though, I'm more of a physical media chap, but hope you find it!
Can't go wrong with Bette Davis in creepy mode! I've not seen Harvest Home in decades, time for a revisit I think...
Not sure I understand why, but each to their own my friend.
Indeed. And the chauffeur is far too scary for the poster! ๐ฑ
That's a very long flight, I think the book would be perfect company...
That's virtually the exact answer I was about to give, I've always thought of them almost as an extension of the house itself. I was wondering if the book might have the answer or if the ambiguity is intended from source. If you do read it, keep me posted!
How could I forget that? It gave me serious nightmares when I was younger... ๐ฑ
That's ok, I'll take your word for it. I'd hate to disturb Mrs. Allardyce! ๐ฑ
