It’s a privilege to be trusted to cover Wales’ biggest stories, and to have the time to work on my own pieces, whilst making sure Welsh stories make it to National coverage.

But after the best 2 years with the BBC, I am beyond excited to have been given the opportunity to be LBC’s Wales Correspondent for the next year 💙🥲

4. 🫶 Dwynwen lead a blessed life and became the Welsh patron saint of lovers.

She's also the patron saint of sick animals! Which means you can pray to Dwynwen to find you your true love, and to help make your pup feel better - a win win. ❤️ 🐾

3. 🧊 So, God granted her three wishes instead. Her first was for Maelon to be thawed; second was for God to help all true lovers be together from now on; and third was for her to never marry. To thank God, she became a nun and set up a convent on Llanddwyn Island on Anglesey.

2. 💔 Dwynwen was heartbroken and ran away to the woods to cry and have space to beg God to help her. An angel visited the Princess and gave her a 🪄potion✨ to forget Maelon - but that actually turned him into a block of ice.

1. 🏔️ The 4th Century Welsh Princess lived in the Brecon Beacons as one of 24 daughters to King Brychan Brycheiniog. When she fell in love with a local boy, Maelon Dafodrill, the King disapproved - he'd already arranged for her to marry another Prince.

The Moon latest of Cardiff music scene venues to close After another music venue in Cardiff closed, a former promoter called the scene's future "bleak".

Calls have been made to protect smaller Cardiff venues after another sudden closure on the scene - this time at The Moon.

Cardiff became the UK’s first ‘Music City’ in 2017 - meaning grassroots venues there should be protected.

Endometriosis: Woman with years of pain says symptoms cost her job Dee Montague-Coast left her job after colleagues questioned whether her symptoms were fabricated.

Dee had to find a new job after taking time off to manage debilitating endometriosis symptoms, which led to a disciplinary - and made her even more unwell.
 
She felt colleagues thought she was seeking attention or time off, after she was denied reasonable adjustments.

💔 what a phenomenal woman Rachel Davies was.

She fought so hard for a life-extending drug that has not been made available for Wales, Northern Ireland or England.

Newport: Investigation as dead horse found tied up in barbed wire The owner says she is "destroyed" by the death of Skye, which police are treating as suspicious.

A horse has been found dead in Newport with barbed wire tied around its front and back legs, in what Gwent Police believe was an intentional killing.

Two injured ponies - also with barbed wire on their legs - were found alongside Skye in their Marshfield paddock.
