I mean.... technically there were 9 gyms that you can battle in FRLG, if you count the Dojo! And that's only what you can personally battle. If you go anime logic, there can be any number in side villages that just don't fit in the game

I looked at the original infection quartet and feel like they might not have aged well. The lore is awesome but game loop might feel grindy. Though to be real I've been wanting to revisit them too, it just feels like it would be a huge time commitment and I don't know if I could do it justice!
