One last close up to end my run of Finial posts. I especially loved this variegated blue yarn, even though it turned out to be a little tricky to photograph.

A blue and pink cabled brioche shawl is partly wrapped around a mannequin, so the 'right' side is showing, and partly held out to the side, so the 'wrong' side can be seen as well.

Finial isn’t cabled on both sides, so despite the intricacy of the design there are plenty of rest rows. Here you can see what the ‘wrong’ side looks like.

I had a lot of fun with the cables on this shawl so I've just got to show you a close up.

Finial shawl is knit with fingering weight yarn (two skeins of each of two colours) so she’s a big shawl, but she’s still fine enough to be scrunched up around your neck. Because let’s be realistic, while we all pose our shawls beautifully draped, scrunched up is how they usually actually get worn.

The theme for #ShowMeYourKnits this week is love, and for a minute I was stumped because I don't have any designs with hearts on them or anything even in pink/red... hang on! I do! My Liliales shawl is pink. So here we are.

Squeezing in one more stripey knit for this week's #ShowMeYourKnits. This is my Wavelength scarf.

A few years ago my Dad visited Louie & Lola yarns on a trip to Tasmania and picked these colours out for me. They’ve been sitting in my stash ever since. It took me a while to decide what to do with them because it had to be something pretty enough to match the yarn, but they are now underway.

Don't know how well vertical stripes fit in to the stripe theme for this week's #ShowMeYourKnits, but it certainly looks stripey to me. This is my Triode shawl, three colour brioche knit in Aran weight yarn.

It's stripes week for #ShowMeYourKnits. Almost everything I knit is brioche which is kinda stripey, if you look at it the right way. But for properly stripey stripes I can't go past my Westward shawl.

I’m still figuring out this app too. So far I’ve mostly just been following knitters and knitwear designers that I know from other platforms.

I’m not sure I understand the question?

I have another one that’s even more feathery (but no cables), my Plumology shawl.

Is it still cable week for #ShowMeYourKnits? Because I’ve definitely got more cables. Here, for example, is my Bubblewrap shawl.

It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and to celebrate my family arranged to meet for morning tea at Blackwattle alpaca farm, which is not far from my home in Canberra. The adults liked the cheesecake, the kids liked the alpacas, and I liked the Blackwattle yarn! Fun for all.

There is a mailing list, at eepurl.com/dlYpDL . Testing has already wrapped up for this one. I’d love to see it in a gradient, that would be amazing!

It’s hard to go wrong when the yarn is this gorgeous really.

I loved the blue and then if I’d gone with my first instinct I would have paired it with a light blue or a cream. The dyer suggested the pink and I decided to be bold.

I write the instructions out as simply as possible, I promise.

I second guessed the colours all the way through, so I’m glad to hear you like them!

I reckon I’ll always need a bit of text, if only to tell people what the pattern is. But it does seem that my knitting photos will still be useable here, which is great.
