Post image Two scientific talk abstracts on a blue background with wavy topographic patterns. Top abstract titled 'EPS, EPS, every where: Noncohesive seabed evolution with ecosystem impacts' describes how exopolymeric substances (EPS) in marine environments contribute to carbon sequestration and sediment transport, focusing on biocohesion and bioturbation impacts on sediment mobility and seabed roughness through in situ and laboratory experimentation. Bottom abstract titled 'Multiscale Fluid, Sediment, and Biota Interactions in Aquatic Ecosystems' discusses using microfluidic and flume experiments to investigate biofilm dynamics, sediment transport, and hyporheic exchange, revealing how microbes and vegetation influence sediment stability, geomorphic evolution, and pollutant transport for erosion control, water quality, and ecosystem health. Bottom section contains partial speaker biographies.

Yes it's odd. Maybe there's not a similar sized facility available around these dates?

I'd only seen this kind of facility on TV and now one of the kids is warming up to swim down there 💪🏼🤯

New federal directives have instructed agencies to cancel any external presentations for several weeks. As a result, the EPSP event with David Callery and Cara Sponaugle of the USFS BAER team for Wednesday January 29th, has been canceled.

We are sad. We hope to reschedule this event in the future.

I've seen people come pick the separate bags from separate receptacles and put them all inside a single larger bag... It was a disappointing moment. We try!

🎉 New Paper Alert! ✨

“Plastic as a Sediment: A universal and objective practical solution…”

Now we can assess plastic as a sediment and better understand the relationship of its physical properties with its environmental distribution! ✨It’s so exciting!✨
