Can confirm. I am okay and more motivated than ever to speak up.

Nothing scares this administration more. Their power lies in our silence.

Read this week
"Nettle & Bone" and "A Sorceress Coms To Call"
by T. Kingfisher.
The storytelling is amazing. Both tales grip you tight & don't let go. The friendships the main character in each develops are what I want to read in every book.
T. Kingfisher is my favorite.

Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as ‘normal’ Critics of New York City’s mayor-elect have said his pledges of free bus service and universal childcare are unrealistic, but in Europe it’s a given

Quite a headline.

Savor this moment, friends.

They couldn’t buy their way to a win. They couldn’t racist their way to a win. There are more of us than them, and we fucking beat them. And we can keep beating them.

The cover of "A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping" By Sangu Mandanna.
A pink sky behind a green hill. A multi story house sits atop the hill, with vines climbing the walls, a pocket fence and winding path. A dark skinned woman stands in the foreground reading a book while a fox curls around her feet. A white man is inside the yard holding a steaming cup of tea.

Excellent. Great character development and representation of an autistic kiddo. The hard stuff isn't glossed over, and the found family around her are supportive and accommodating.
Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The American Bar Association dropped a bomb lawsuit.

To prevent passing the bucket, they sued everyone. The defendant list stretched 40 pages.

Yup. This isn’t normal, and I’m here for it. 🍿🍫🥤

The Human Genome Project cost taxpayers $3 Billion.

Two decades on, it has generated a staggering return on investment of $1 Trillion, with benefits in medicine, agriculture, energy, the environment, & more.

If you want to boost the economy, funding science is one of the best things you could do.

With Orders, Investigations and Innuendo, Trump and G.O.P. Aim to Cripple the Left The president and his allies in Congress are targeting the financial, digital and legal machinery that powers the Democratic Party and much of the progressive political world.

The fight for our democracy is not coming. It is here.

When I say that we have months, not a year, to save democracy, I'm talking about this coordinated, relentless legal assault on political dissent.

Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.

My kiddo is raising a sourdough starter from scratch for a school project. My good ol' starter is on the left & smells like heaven. The new baby starter on the right smells like vomit today. #TrustTheProcess
