How similar are artificial and human creativity? What is the effect of artificial creativity on our creativity?
In a new paper, I approach these questions through the lens of neuroscience and consciousness research and make some observations🔍

🧠🔒 Slightly jumping the gun here to let you know that I'll be launching something pretty cool in January. Follow along as we start looking at the most pressing and thought-provoking issues and questions in #neuroprivacy. Meanwhile, feel free to DM any ideas, suggestions and/or even collab proposals.
Of course this raises quite a lot of questions from a e/privacy standpoint. Just flagging that, in practical terms, we would all probably save a lot of time by simply exporting/importing our contacts from one social network to another. What would "portability" actually enable for most users?
True + ensuring some degree of interoperability amongst them perhaps. For instance, given that not all of my X contacts are (yet) on Bluesky this would be an initial limitation, unless the imported list can be automatically updated as other contacts register with the destination network.
True – and these are valid points, of course. Just wondering about the possible and more practical application to an otherwise rather ethereal (?) privacy right.
Data portability rights should be relied upon to enable contact list transfers between social networks? Asking for a friend.
The wait is over!

Look forward to re-connecting with clients and colleagues old and new during a rather packed couple of days at the #DPC24 in Brussels with the A&O Shearman team in attendance. Feel free to drop a line if you want to grab a coffee, catch up and/or make any intros. See you all in a bit!
