We’re pleased to launch our new report with @reescentre.bsky.social, challenging how success is defined for care-experienced young people.
Co-designed by young people, we're calling on national and local leaders to build a system that helps them thrive.

The DfE should collect data on the proportion of children who are placed out of area because its in their own interests vs with those placed out of area due to capacity issues, so the situation can be properly monitored (Recommendation, Para47) Ed Committee

Our Chief Exec Katharine Sacks-Jones speaking to BBC Breakfast last week about the Education's Committee's report on children's social care. It includes a recommendation to tackle the lack of suitable homes for children in care - a key ask of our #GoneTooFar campaign.
The educational instability facing children in care is shocking. We've worked with care experienced young people on this report to highlight the disruption they face when it matters most.

More than 30 care-experienced young people from across the country joined parliamentarians, including Jess Asato MP, Josh MacAlister MP and Helen Hayes MP. They celebrated how their voices had made a difference and shared the changes they still want to see.
Putting the voices of care-experienced children and young people at the heart of policy-making is essential.
That's why I was delighted to chair an event in Parliament last night marking three years since the independent review of children's social care.

Members of our Gone too far campaigning groups meeting the Minister for Children and Families
A busy day in Parliament today for our #GoneTooFar campaign group meeting with the Minister for Children and Families, Janet Daby MP, to raise the issue that more than 1 in 5 children in care in England are placed over 20 miles from home.
We would love as much support as possible to ask the government to take urgent action to keep children in care close to the people and places they love when it's in their best interests.
We want to see better data and clear plans.
