David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.

I would not be the person I am today without him. Not only films but art as we understand it currently across every medium would be vastly different.

The amount of influence he has on me as a person is beyond anything I can muster up rn. I am just beyond grateful to him for existing and sharing his mind with the world and ushering a style that has influenced so many artists and connected with countless people. RIP David Lynch ❤️
