Speaking of specialists, I need to call referral dept @ my doc to ask about the progress of my rheumatology referral. And let them know I will GLADLY travel to a nearby city where I know there are more options. TBH I only trust two rheums in this whole city, from what I’ve heard from friends. 😮‍💨

Mind you, I just had my gallbladder removed this month, so I’d kind of like to be seen sooner than later.

So, I ask her to schedule my next appt and she says, “ohhh… we actually don’t have anything until late September…”

?? Like, THIS is why I asked to make my appointment back in Feb, ma’am.

So, doctor’s offices. Make them make sense. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had my last gastroenterologist visit in Feb. And they wouldn’t make my follow up appt then. They said “oh our books aren’t open that far in advance yet.” So I call them today because I’m probably due for a follow up in August and I’m a planner…

In addition to the dry mouth I’m having painful constipation, excessive daytime sleepiness (I feel like I don’t want to get out of bed until noon), carb cravings? (so I might be gaining lbs, I don’t weigh myself)… I am not a fan.

Also: still have daily #headaches ofc. Grr #amitriptyline.

One of the most annoying #sideeffects is the #drymouth and it’s messing with taste too. Like, this morning I woke up and my mouth tasted like a mix of metal & grapefruit peel?? So gross. I had to chew xylitol gum just to mask it. I don’t remember #amitriptyline being so bad before but ugh. #NEISvoid

My #neurologist wanted me to try an injectable med for my daily and often severe #headaches but #Medicaid insisted on me trying #amitriptyline 1st because I haven’t been on it recently. Was on it for years, TWICE, but nah, they need proof. And I am having textbook (and awful) side effects. #NEISvoid

I have #FMS / #CFS and am doing “medium dose nal” I guess? Haha. I started at a 1/4 of a 50mg tab and felt super weird and kinda woozy my first few days but not more sick (I have daily #nausea too.) I decided to start taking it at night instead of morning though and that helped. Now I’m up to 25mg.

This. I feel so much love for the folks who are still checking in on me and helping me out a year and a half later. Because I sure as heck still need it. 😢

I’ve waited 5+ months for MRIs of my neck/brain. Had massive meltdowns at the imaging center, twice, even w/drugs. #PTSD and claustrophobia combining forces. 🥴 BIG fail. So, my doc said she put in a referral so I can get the MRIs w/anesthesia. Wonder how long it will take for approval this time. 🙃
