Perhaps most leftist of all, we ultimately learn [MAJOR SPOILER] that Grace was forced to go against his will, for the good of humanity. You can draw a parallel to mandatory vaccination programs there.

I was just coming in to mention that PHM (at least the movie, I haven't read the book) was political, and leftist too. Grace wears a NASA uniform, not a SpaceX one. PHM is developed and funded entirely by governments, with zero corporate support in evidence.

If SNW had 20+ episode seasons, we'd get a return to the Elysian Kingdom once a season, and I would absolutely love it.

The in-universe reason being blah-blah-something-technobabble-I-don't-care, I just want to see more of the cast hamming it up in their Elysian Kingdom roles.

EPIMETHEUS LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU

One of the best things Star Trek: Enterprise did was subtly show that Starfleet began more as a NASA-style organization than reflective of the US military. We don't talk about that enough I think; and how the MACOs, like the War College in Starfleet Academy, are about showing what Starfleet ISN'T.

Out of all the previous versions of Frankenstein or The Bride of Frankenstein which might have been referenced in this movie, I was certainly not expecting Young Frankenstein (1974) to be among them.
