Thank you @lizstokoe.bsky.social and @emmet.quiddity.ie ! We simulated a medical consultation with participants playing their real social roles as doctor and patient. It was solely for methodological research in interactional linguistics. I wanted to know if we could rely on previous studies 🤔

Thank you,I'll take a look! There may be interesting aspects for me, even though I am not looking for simulations for educational purposes. I am looking for simulated interactions for research in EMCA—researchers asking participants to simulate an interaction for research purposes. 🙏

Thank you for your shares & recommendation. To be precise, I'm not looking for studies on simulated interactions for educational purposes. I'm looking for simulated interactions for research purposes in EMCA or other fields—researchers asking participants to simulate an interaction for research.

@maicbay.bsky.social Is it for the training of interns or for interactional sociology / EMCA-type analyses? If so, I think this is entirely relevant. Would you have a reference for an article? Thank you !

Looking for references in interaction analysis or other fields on the use of simulated social situations for research—not like the breaching experiment, but rather interactions where participants play their real social roles in a simulated setting. Any suggestions from the #EMCA community? Thanks !

Great @aoc-media.bsky.social article, and a highly relevant type of interaction for the #EMCA / AI community.

A lot of excitement about Google’s new podcast-creating AI.

I don’t share it.

It’s cool party trick with a good wow factor, for sure. It really does sound like a podcast, rather than the robot ticket dispenser in the parking garage. Credit due there.
