Well here it is! It's got a lot of glitches, but technically, this is Discord Messenger running on a nearly 32 year old operating system!

If you are going to be making a game, and its gameplay could be made in multiplayer, base your game off of a multiplayer stack. Even if singleplayer. It's easier to go from multiplayer to singleplayer than the other way around.

why is this happening in software?

Especially if decentralised. Maybe a cool idea would be to have some sort of centralised moderation across platforms, would help out a lot, but there may be some downsides to that that are quite big of course and needs to be thought through more thoroughly. 2/2

I feel like Bluesky devs had quite some time to create proper moderation, especially since they also had that private testing phase and this would be a place of improvement. But yeah generally, those kinds of people go to alt platforms like Matrix instances or Mastodon. 1/2

it's just a trend I've observed. I just wish the moderation was better on this site because it's not giving this platform a good look

I don't know how to feel about the amount of negative things associated with Bluesky, from zoos to pedos being allowed here. It's become a real problem.

From what I understand, this mostly happens because in order to publish to the App Store, Apple requires a monthly expensive fee, compared to something like Play Store which is a cheap one-time fee.

exactly, and then you can have CI build the project for you! not only that but each change will be on a commit!

If your program mentions in the marketing material what programming language it's made in, I will never take it as a serious project

The biggest thing I hate about Linux is that for serious workloads you risk your system freezing up, even if you give it like 3/4 of your cores

The only things I miss here are community notes and polls. They are just sooooo gooodddd

well it was taken down because of an ai that filed a bunch of takedown reports to domain registrar and that then the domain registrar had an ai looking at those automatically approving them, ignoring itch's messages. can't really blame them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

one of the most underrated features of vim is that you can fully work in it with just your keyboard and efficiently, literally just sit back with the keyboard in your lap it's great
