Likewise. Are you also in the consulting space?

When I miss a day, I always make it up either in the evenings or on the weekend. That’s just part of the responsibility of being a leader. The responsibility of my team is to show up when I’m there, guiding me through their work on those nights/weekends where we are making up for my absence.

The best thing you can do for your team this holiday season ☃️ is to schedule twice daily check-ins to prevent distractions. This will help YOU stay focused so you can keep YOUR TEAM focused! #microtip #micromanagement

If work was easy, it wouldn’t be so hard. I wouldn’t say your manager hates you so much as they know what is best for you and your work style. #MicromanagementWorks

Why stop there, @rhopstan.bsky.social‽ You hold the world in your hand—don’t let that exactitude go to waste.

My consultancy trains struggling leaders to become micromanagers. What you’re asking is possible. #TheWorldNeedsMoreMicromanagers

But too few are actually willing to follow through with it. #fail

Undermining your authority is the best way for a micromanager to get your attention…and your obedience.

It’s all about the long game.

Pity. America tends to produce a lot of great micromanagers. Si tu sais, tu sais. #relou #gav

First off, whack-a-mole is the best game to earn tickets. I like it as a metaphor for #micromanagement. 🎟️🎟️ As a leader, I am constantly hammering my employees when they veer off course. It keeps them on their toes, never knowing where I’ll pounce next. 🔨💪 #EffectiveManagement

I think the bigger question is why Jonathan felt he had the freedom to change his working hours.

While I would not state it as such, I would have to agree.

Following accuracy along each step of the path is basic #micromanagement. The fact that this other manager doesn’t recognize that is a failure on her part.

I think this is a testament to #EffectiveMicromanagement. I like to remind my employees that they are incapable of accomplishing even the simplest of tasks without me. That way, when they do rise to the occasion, I am able to remind them that it was my leadership that saw them through.

While I don’t condone anything they’re doing (mostly because I didn’t read your whole post), they are 💯 on to something with #micromanagement. That approach lets someone hold power over others—and that is just so VALIDATING to the individual holding the power. Who can fault them for that?

Yes!! Way to find your power! #micromanagement

I find hoarding information and setting arbitrary goals to be powerful tools in the repertoire of any decent micromanager. Embrace it, @jefframage.bsky.social. Don’t resist, and you’ll find more control than you could have ever imagined.

Steve Jobs taught Gap’s former CEO that micromanaging can be a good thing “I’m proud to be a micromanager for what a customer sees, feels, and hears,” Mickey Drexler said.

Psychologists may say that #micromanagement is bad for morale, but Steve Jobs knew better. He required that everything be screwed sideways—and checked.

👉🏻 Make new, SMALL rules everyday to keep your team adaptable. When they are, they’ll follow you anywhere, anytime.🔩 #thinkdifferent #screwsideways

If your staff isn’t hard at work right now, you’re doing something wrong. PRO TIP: Send an email asking them to prepare a slide deck about their performance and schedule a meeting for first thing tomorrow morning to critique. HAPPY SUNDAY, everybody!
