I was on NPR's All Things Considered today talking about how all the uncertainty around science funding is affecting researchers. I'm still following this story, so please do DM or signal me if you're dealing with this and would like to talk.

It is now time for us to practice what we preach and stand up for our values in promoting equity and opportunity regardless of what the calls say.
If you're a scientist that serves on an NSF panel that got cancelled today, I'd love to talk to you about it for an NPR story. DM, email or reach out on signal.
Haha oh, yeah!!

I’m the Chair of the Traditional Ecological Knowledge Section of the Ecological Society of America and the Chair of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee for the American Society of Plant Biologists.
As an ecophysiologist, I study the impacts of climate change, introduced species, and fire on ecosystem health. Mostly forests, but I keep my interests broad.
Hello new friends: I’m a new Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Forest Resources. I’m an enrolled member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and I’m also Menominee. A few fun facts about me and my work:

Delighted to share a new paper out today in Science!
We discuss federal climate incentives, challenges, and opportunities. And we present a roadmap for bold action to address unmanageable time scales, limited access to information, and a need to build capacity.
