And what its currently looking like, almost there with animating all the screens! But next we try to make the settinsg screens actually work and then look at typewriter effects/ cursors control and other accessibility things
This was how my game started off, i mapped out all the screens and use cases first in wireframes, which I think sped up implementation a tonne, since i was already dry thinking of reusable components / scaling structures etc #gamedev #indiedev
We have some animations in! The editor isnt as bad as I thought, very like After Effects but my god was a pain to get some of them working with code as theyre not just activated on enable #gamedev

So i had to build a toggle of numkeys thatd fake the date of the week and suddenly it works!
So I’m testing out the main social system of my game and its the first time I’m dealing with schedules in the server that locks / changes UI which is great but its working too well and I couldnt test the UI that is there during the weekdays 😂
Updated the logo to make it feel more old, unity is not liking my glow gradients so will see how to get this effect in the title screen #gamedev
So the next major thing I’m looking at is the whole login flow, so title screen, login process, and then the in-between screens while the client pulls the info from the backend so it’ll feel seamless! Already the calls and response are very quick but there's obviously gonna be smoke and mirrors
Currently it checks your local account in steam and pulls the information into the game and creates a user, but Im upgrading that to be more secure with authentication tickets from steam itself so no hacking!
Progress on my game! We have a working dialogue system, travel system, social system including chat and profiles all talking to a live backend on AWS!
I’ve also built some editor tools that will help the writing a tonne, so great progress!
