Why is there no Up First Episode today @npr.org It's messing up my daily routine and it's only Monday ๐ . Grace abounds but I miss you.
A reminder for these times.
The hardest parenting decision is rather or not to keep your kids home because of a cough. Is it allergies? Is it illness? Is it contagious? Or just the coughing of residual crud? I hate sick season.
Omg so I'm not the only one?! I was like damn those jeans are a little outdated but he is rocking them!
He did call and clarify that no one has indeed delivered to my address since 12/30.
I don't know who my propane angel is - but Thank You.
I finally got them to do an urgent delivery. They came. I saw them. I got a text "unable to deliver" I had Jeff run out to ask him why (I was not able to do so myself)
Reason: THE TANK IS FULL.
Unconvinced I threw shoes on and my coat and checked the gauge. It was, indeed, full!!!!
Here's an uplifting story for today:
I kept getting notifications to expect my monthly top-off of propane. My last delivery was 12/30/24. We got the coldest weather in January. So I kept an eye on the tank- Last Friday my tank was at 10%. I called, checked my account. No delivery notification.
you might need to send a few "do not eat - I repeat - do not eat!" Because when it comes to Swedish fish - I need specific instructions on that.
I seriously can't wait for this!
I've missed this. I'm so elated that the temp is high enough for lunch by the river ๐ฅฐ๐๐
Who can keep up? Not me! And neither should you. Please remember sanity is far more important.
A harder question for me a young Clergy woman - is this what my congregation members wanted?! Have I failed them? ๐ ๐ญ๐ฑ
This is not the first time. This is not the first time the top oppresses the bottom. This fight is not new, these problems are not new: it's just new to us white folx who have been blinded by privilege for a long time - myself included.
Go listen to stories of our black aunts Jewish grandmothers
Trying to keep a positive attitude in the middle of the night as my son has a bout with a stomach bug ๐คฎ
I might have just thought of a theme of my new book: unhinged, sh*t you can't make up, stories of my life
Do you think what makes our preaching cohort such a success is because we bonded in the place where we are most alive? I mean the desert is spiritual in itself, but with the mountains, and the good food, fellowship, and all the laughter โค๏ธ
I'll go first: Nature, specifically being near water of some kind. ๐๐๏ธ
I can't even keep up with all the nonsense. Let's spend some #light. What makes you feel most #alive?
This is amazing and everything I needed. I also love that you know this information. Theology and History were never my strong suit ministry.
That anxiety is so real! Remember to advocate for yourself and don't feel ashamed to pull out a notebook! I have to write everything or I will forget. It will also help you take notes on the Vibe and if staying with the new Dr. Is best.
I am beyond words! I'm so excited that this is included in Spotify Premium. #worthIt I am not even through the first chapter and I'm SPEECHLESS. This is everything I need right now.
Any other #clergywomen serving purple congregations feeling a little .... Fearful this morning? I am. I need like 30 more years of experience to handle this ๐
The biggest issue with Amazon is that it makes the rich - richer... And as for the writers, artists, and publishers: they only get a small portion of the sales from amazon. They take anywhere from 30-65% of royalties form the authors and publishers.
Thank you for posting this!!! I'm already loving this platform for this reason โค๏ธ
I haven't fact checked this - but it makes me hopeful for sure!
Alright #booksky - I hear that Amazon is horrible. But I LOVE my ebooks and Kindle unlimited subscription. I love my annotations, accessibility features (#dylexia), and convenience of the app, tracking my reading days. I like owning my ebooks because I often refer back to them in ministry. Help?
What a great way to spread positivity!
For RCL preachers - this weeks Gospel Passage is Luke 4: 14-21. Anyone else getting Bishop Budde vibes? Come in. Read scripture on justice and abolition. People get mad about it.
Clearly it ran deep - we are in our own mess nearly 100 years later ๐ซฃ
