We've been running safe, accurate, fair elections in Oregon by mail for more than 25 years. This latest Executive Order on elections isn't about election integrity. It's about politics.

The Constitution is clear: states run elections. We’ve already beaten the president twice in court when he tried to push that boundary and meddle in elections. We're ready. #orpol

The Supreme Court is deciding whether or not to block states from counting ballots that were legally cast by eligible voters by Election Day simply because they arrived late through the mail.

The President just signed an exec. order that would allow him to create a list of who gets to vote by mail... and who doesn’t. That's not how we run elections in America: Our founders wrote the Constitution specifically to prevent one man from having that much power.

The President's latest Executive Order is another desperate, illegal power grab. The Constitution is clear: states run elections. We don’t need decrees from Washington D.C. My message to the President: we’ll see you in court.

Secretary Tobias Read stands at a podium with a microphone, delivering a speech. The text on the image reads: "Our democracy is stronger when more citizens’ voices are heard. Legal votes cast on time should be counted. No citizen should lose their right to vote because of delays at the post office." The image is attributed to the Oregon Secretary of State, Tobias Read.

There's so much to be excited about at Beaverton High School—the progress they're making on student completion rates, their expansive CTE programs, the connections they're making with students, and the exciting new building that will welcome students next year. Thanks for the tour!

There is literally no evidence that this is a problem that is affecting any outcome of any election. Non-citizen voting is vanishingly rare. That is not a crisis. #orpol

Why are they trying to create barriers that would stop Americans from voting? It's simple: the president knows he's wildly unpopular, and he's afraid the people will have their say. #orpol

Congress is considering the SAVE America Act, a bill that would throw voter registration in every state into chaos in the middle of a major election cycle. Lawful citizens will be blocked from voting if this passes.

This so-called SAVE Act has nothing to do with election security. It’s about putting new barriers between eligible American citizens, voters and the ballot box.

When we stand up together, we win. I joined Senator @wyden.senate.gov & voter rights advocates for a press conference in Portland to denounce the so-called SAVE Act & any legislation intended to add barriers between American citizens & your right to vote. We will continue to fight voter suppression.

Thank you to all the hardworking TriMet employees and the many public transit workers across the region who keep Oregon moving. I had the opportunity to ride along and see firsthand what's going on on the ground. Thank you for the opportunity to listen.
