Hundreds of businesses in Minnesota have closed for the day as part of an economic blackout to protest the surge of ICE agents into the state. Organizers of the strike include faith leaders and unions, who are encouraging people to stay home from work, school and shopping.
#HappyNewYear! As of tomorrow January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in #NewJersey will be $15.92/hr for most workers. Make sure you're paid in full, overtime paid at 1.5 times in a 40 hour workweek, and remember that status DOESN'T matter: time worked is time paid. See you in the fight in 2026!
