Hopper is a master of subtle allusion. We see a man and woman seated at separate tables in a sunny cafeteria. They are the only customers. What interests the artist is the suspenseful moment before a first tentative contact is made, the mental and emotional forcefield that can arise between two strangers.

Leo Morse (Thomas Gomez), a small timer in the numbers racket, is like a pressurized canister of hydrogen about to explode, in "Force of Evil" (1948). His brother, crooked lawyer Leo (John Garfield), is the spark that sets him off. A two-fisted dramatic powerhouse. #filmnoir
Sunday night called for one of my favourites… I’ve watched this probably as many times as Marty says the word “feasible.”

Just saw Micky Dolenz celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Monkees in concert.
He's 81 and can still belt like he did 40 years ago when I first saw him on the '86 reunion tour.
He sang for 2 hours tonight and the all-ages audience loved it — from cosplaying teenagers to senior citizens. #MusicSky
