Saw Fantastic4 recently and maybe this is as good as a Fantastic 4 movie can be. They are not interesting to me. It's a charmless slog, does not look great and the plot is dumb. Natasha Lyon is in this movie for some reason with nothing to do? What a waste.

Finally got to watch Disclaimer TV show (really more of a 7- hour movie) on Apple TV. I think its a masterpiece from Cuaron. Beautifully shot, excellent performances and a tight tense plot about a very tough topic. It's also about perception, the truth, and how "obvious" things might not be fact.

You probably can. Cannot say I liked it but it had some surprises and some unhinged Malkovich.

Saw 28WeeksLater recently. Excellent opening setup. The script can be stupid but it is fine. After that it is an unwatchable mess of a movie mostly due to how in love with close up shaky cam Fresnadillo is. Still liked @davechen.bsky.social and @devindra.bsky.social discussion about it.

Congrats @jeffcannata.bsky.social so glad I got a copy. It's a fun little break from work as I read a limerick or 2 and try to guess the film.

Re MI Final Reckoning this time I'm 100% with @davechen.bsky.social I really liked it. I agree with a lot of your issues with it @devindra.bsky.social @jeffcannata.bsky.social but I think you are too negative and harsh. To say MI2 was better?! I saw 1, 2 and 3 last week and could barely finish 2!

Holy shit! Sinners @sinnersmovie.bsky.social is a spectacular film experience. Unique vision, original, looks great, vampires and awesome music in 1930s Jim Crow South. Coogler made a vampire musical and it's excellent! #sinnersmovie

The Residence on @netflix.com is a wonderful surprise. Fast, sharp, funny, smart murder mystery that looks great and has an awesome cast. @devindra.bsky.social @jeffcannata.bsky.social @davechen.bsky.social hope you guys give it a shot.

If it wasn't for Baby Billy Freeman I doubt I'd be watching Righteous Gemstones still...the rest are mostly ok (Jessie) to downright unfunny (Kelvin). Definitely time to wrap this thing up.

I see what he is doing but I guess I maybe do not appreciate how Osgood Perkins makes movies. Was not crazy about his movie The Monkey based on a short story (that I really like) from @stephenking.bsky.social

The show #dayofthejackal was very good. Almost excellent. Sleek and well done. Looks awesome. It's a cat and mouse game about 2 sociopaths but only one of them knows what he is. It's held back a bit by miscasting Lashana Lynch in this role and by a very odd and clunky final 10 minutes.

At 3.5 hours #thebrutalist still manages to yada yada yada some seemingly important stuff. Still it's quiet a good movie...i think. Might even be great.

Black Doves on @netflix.com was silly fun until the finale. then it became just silly.
