This is an important problem, worth solving. All institutions, including #universities, should help pay for the #OpenSource tools they use.

Love this, and wish more funders would create similar funding streams! So many innovative new tools that attract funding are built upon core infrastructures that struggle to find funding for their “boring” operations.
