Out in @natmethods.nature.com: More dyes. They work. Quite well. And blink. Pick the one that fits your target, your technique, and your labeling density. With too many collaborators and institutes to list, but anchored at @hhmijanelia.bsky.social www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Thank you Ines and Chris and everybody in York for the lovely engaging discussions! It is always nice to be back in the North :)
@exdrososcientia.bsky.social an I were delighted to host @franbottanelli.bsky.social for an amazing seminar on nanoscale understanding of membrane trafficking pathways 🔬
We are grateful to @biochemsoc.bsky.social for sponsorship to host an international speaker 🙌
I am so happy about this! Coming to the @universityofleeds.bsky.social for my Erasmus kickstarted my career as I then stayed for my PhD in the same lab!
Check out our new release on BioRxiv

Are the days of discovering new cellular structures over?? /1
I loved hiking in the Dales in the rain :) you forgot I lives in Leeds for 5 years!
So excited to be back in beautiful York! Thanks @yorkyeast.bsky.social for inviting me! Looking forward to great science discussions tomorrow! I like I am also getting the proper weather experience ☔️
This looks extremely interesting conceptually.
Indeed!
We offer a PostDoc position for a fully funded project on lipid-encoded #lipidtime protein quality-control checkpoints at the Golgi: great collaborators, excellent working & living conditions & benchspace with a view ;) Please share and repost!

Thanks! It is hard to submit grants after grant rejections 🤣
You are now officially a blobologist!
I am glad we could make your blobs looking smaller 🤣
The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions:
2 grants rejected
2 papers accepted
1 paper submitted
2 grants submitted, despite knowing about the above grant failures.
Persevere they said.
New paper out 💥 3D cell-cell contact reconstitution with synthetic vesicles and (primary) immune cells to study how different proteins and carbohydrates influence the immune synapse dynamics.

What a wonderful 3 days in Mosbach! Met old science friends and made new ones. Hang out until way to late at Tante Gerda talking membranes and all. Amazing science. Ate at a castle overlooking the river. thanks @gbmev.bsky.social and all organizers for having me! See you all soon!
The first early career talk was delivered by @agatawitkowska.bsky.social from Berlin. Thanks for sharing your data on the mechanical control of neurotransmission! #MK2026
The first session of 77th Mosbacher Kolloquium #mk2026 @gbmev.bsky.social is starting now! So super excited for the amazing lineup! 🤩 This is a true feast for membrane biology community! 🧫🧪 My talk starts in 30 mins... Looking forward!
Great to learn about the origins of membrane properties in deep sea animals by @ibudin.bsky.social. Nature is really fascinating! #mk2026 @gbmev.bsky.social
Thank you Agata! I should also also taken a photo of your beautiful performance on the podium but I somehow checked out from social media 😅
Another talk from Berlin! Our great @franbottanelli.bsky.social 🤩 on the stage! Such beautiful live STED revealing hidden mechanisms of membrane trafficking #mk2026 @gbmev.bsky.social
Congratulations again to Maya for being such an amazing scientist and an outstanding awardee!
This may be interesting for @mcduncanlab.bsky.social and @merz.bsky.social @fromme-lab.bsky.social
I am so happy to see @stedhammer.bsky.social last thesis chapter taking the shape of a publication. We looked into the role of the elusive GGAs cargo sorting adaptors. Alex‘s works hints at a role in the modulation of the binding of AP-1 adaptors to its clients #membranes #trafficking #CRISPR
Oh gosh. I DO NOT want to see the submitted version.
