Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
...
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain.

The Fulton Ferry crossing the East River from Manhattan to Brooklyn, with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background.
I am with you, you men and women of a generation, or ever so many generations hence,
Just as you feel when you look on the river and sky, so I felt,
Just as any of you is one of a living crowd, I was one of a crowd, . . .

Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet walking in the forest meme with Piglet asking Pooh, "Is he dead yet?" and, when Pooh responds in the negative, Piglet says "Fuck."
Happy Monday!
Youtube comment: @ScotClose • 3 hours ago I'm disappointed that you blocked me on Bluesky for trying to bring some real skepticism to this topic after you strongly implied that Platner is a Nazi and ridiculed people for asking for evidence. If you're only a skeptic about topics you disagree with, are you really a skeptic? Reply 0 replies ^ Graham Platner is an Embarrassing Liar WE @RebeccaWatson • O seconds ago I'm not shocked that a man who openly defends an obvious liar with a Nazi tattoo is also apoplectic that the woman he was yelling at opted out of a conversation with him. This is psychotic behavior and you should see a therapist.
PSA: never in the history of humanity has a woman cut a man out of her life for being insane and then changed her opinion of him after he found other methods to contact her.
This is the correct relationship for a writer to have with her editor

In honor of Nathalie Baye, the Math Greek and I watched CATCH ME IF YOU CAN tonight. I wish it could have been VÉNUS BEAUTÉ (INSTITUT) but that has been inaccessible for years stateside. Whoever created that region-specific DVD nonsense can go right to hell. 📽️ 🎞️ 🎬
I was just doing some testing to see if I could log in with another account. Still no idea why I am having the issue (I still can't log in using my handle) but support finally suggested trying to log in using my account email instead and that works. Now the question is... What to do with @savoyarde?
CALIFORNIA: Those scare ads for legislation limiting medical settlements that quote the LA Times are paid for by Uber because they want to limit how much they can be sued for when they hit you with their cars. calmatters.org/economy/2026...
Agree on both counts.
Huzzah! After half a day of "rate limit exceeded" error messages I have access to my account again!
Listen, when I've actually crossed off all 63 parks (17 left), I'll start worrying about the monuments.
I'm all about the official parks. The monuments are very tangential.
Retweeting #NationalPoetryMonth #2 today for the 120th anniversary of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. I had originally planned to use this snippet for today's poem, but then a 4.6 in the Santa Cruz mountains woke me up in the early morning of April 2. #1906earthquake
For a second I wondered if I had screwed up my photos but then I remembered I have not been to Old Pt. Loma.

The Robert Johnson recording in question. It’s so clear I feel like I time-traveled.
I’m not a lawyer, and I’m exhausted, so I can’t say exactly which part of the constitution forbids it, but if the constitution does not forbid the president from suing the government in his personal capacity and then ordering the government to settle in his official one, it forbids nothing.
Ossoff: I don’t know who placed those trades, but I’ll tell you this: the SEC better find out. And if they won’t, when you elect this new majority in Congress and you give us gavels and subpoenas, we will.
Point Pinos Lighthouse in Pacific Grove, California (2009)
Today's poem and photo is for @cofax.bsky.social:
Seas pleat
winds keen
fogs deepen
ships lean no
doubt, and
the lighthouse
keeper keeps
a light for
those left out.
It is intimate
and remote both
for the keeper
and those afloat.

I’ve asked this question before, & I intend to keep asking:
When will Donald Trump be prosecuted for the staged assassination which led to the death of two people?
