Introducing the BP Top 101!
Really good illustration of how much of a turnaround Springer had:
Trey Yesavage has been tinkering with a curveball for a while now. I wrote about how that pitch could look.
I will miss Pete's hitting. But @sammillerbb.bsky.social reminds me that I won't miss his throwing. #MetsSky open.substack.com/pub/pebblehu...
The Blue Jays once again tapped the Rule 5 draft for talent, selecting an oft-injured pitcher for a second year in a row. #bluejays #toronto #lightsupletsgo
Biggest signing the Jays made in the last 24 hours
Just resurfacing some old work for when people argue the myth that the Baseball Hall of Fame is "too big and easy to get into" now, when the opposite is in fact true.
1) From 2020, proof that it's actually *harder* than ever to get in: www.mlb.com/news/hall-of...
I wrote about Murakami's potential fit with the Jays, is the young slugger an option for the contact-heavy Jays Lineup?
I wrote about how Alejandro Kirk was absolutely snubbed for the Gold Glove, and why the Gold Glove system is flawed.

The organization took their lumps the past two days, but there were still some good performances from:
Austin Cates
Grant Rogers
Edward Duran
Landen Maroudis
Eddie Micheletti Jr. lined this pitch over the scoreboard for his 12th homer of the season. He's really showing off his pull power as the weather is warming up.

Standouts:
Austin Cates

#BlueJays No. 9 prospect Khal Stephen has been named the Northwest League (Hi-A) Pitcher of the Month for June.
0.95 ERA with 33 strikeouts over 28.1 innings.
Take a look at who's been the hottest hitters for the Blue Jays farm system in the month of June, including some lesser known prospects and bounce back candidates!
I wrote a bit about how Bo's role as a leadoff hitter may be miscast, and about some potential other options.
ICYMI: The second half of the minor league season has officially started, and the Jays promoted a few players after some departures through trades. Here's how the teams in the system performed over the past two days. #bluejays #toronto #lightsupletsgo
Thanks a bunch! Really appreciate you asking
Really not a big deal at all, but Fangraphs does not know what to do with the Blue Jays' second DSL team.
The players on DSL-Red aren't showing up under the Blue Jays organization.
Not complaining at all, I can see why this would be on the bottom of their workflow, just makes it harder to search.
@polarbearbaseball.bsky.social @orcabaseball.bsky.social and I bring you another minor league recap as the second half of the season begins!
Standouts:
Jackson Wentworth
Trey Yesavage
Gage Stanifer
Jackson Hornung
2024 5th Rounder Jackson Wentworth had his best start of his pro career on Tuesday. He went a career high 6 IP, allowing only three hits, 1 earned run, one walk, and struck out a career high 9 batters (20 whiffs!!!)
