According to Mark Butler, the NDIS is losing its 'social license' but somehow fossil fuel companies and overseas companies like Tassel never do #auspol

#auspol Mark Butler would rather spend $100 million on useless AUKUS submarines than $60 million on disabled people.
Hey @albomp.bsky.social adding an entry on the inward passenger/s card asking
• Have you been in Israel since 2023? If yes, have you been involved in any war crime?
Would help with national security and easier identification and even prosecution if required

“Just do it, and stop the crap.” 💥🔥
You can see why gas giants are worried. When the guy who wrote the book on Australian tax reform calls for a 25% gas export tax this bluntly, it would be gross negligence for the government to ignore it.
Thank you, Ken Henry. #auspol
A screenshot of a headline in the Age newspaper. It reads 'Premier among 18 MPs using taxpayer funds to pay for upkeep of their city homes'.
The premier's salary is $500,000+. She bought an apartment in the city for $319,000 in 2005. The member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas, who as health minister got $400,000, owns houses in Carlton North and Northcote. These people don't need further handouts for 'upkeep' of these properties!

Everyone in so-called Australia will experience disability at some point in their life, either personally or in their family. We are a rich enough country to fund proper, equitable & humane support. Making disability an industry for profit is neoliberal bullshit. #auspol
The entire Labor Party should hold its head in shame at the behaviour of Chris Minns.
Minns allowed police to brutally bash Greens candidate & Albanese challenger Hannah Thomas.
Minns ordered police to bash anti-Herzog protesters.
This is authoritarianism we'd expect in China or Russia.

I call on the Australian government to #RaiseTheRate of all support payments to a living wage.
This would be the single most effective way to lift the productivity, quality of life, and well-being of the whole country.

We need to work toward digital sovereignty. Europe is waking up to this and ditching U.S. big tech. France, for example, is working towards moving all government tech to a version of Linux but in Australia they insist on subservience 😩🙄🤮 auspol
This government cannot credibly claim that it cares about people's mental health, given its willingness to leave hundreds of thousands of people worrying for an extended period about whether or not their supports will be cut, either partially or completely.

The Greens are calling on the PM to use today's National Cabinet to coordinate a nationwide rent freeze and eviction moratorium during the fuel crisis.
Labor keeps the Poors grovelling so it can shovel more money to Trump’s grifting chickenhawks.

The intellectuals and academics of Australia have proved themselves weak and easily manipulated.
Tertiary education doesn’t equal character. Why even bother getting educated if it doesn’t lead to courage and wisdom?

Fin Review whitewashing more fascist bullshit
Her plan to 'knit the country back together' is banning peacful slogans, silencing anti-genocide sentiment, and overhauling our education system with *somehow* even more ahistorical genocide justification.
Tl;dr = Thought control and fascism
Cutting services from the disabled...
...to pay for submarines.
Cruel. Shocking.
It should be obvious to everyone: There's nothing leftwing about today's Labor Party.

if you are "sick" — which, again for RFK is a function of race, class and perceived purity — then there is nothing you can do in the face of disease and death, you are destined to succumb. the upshot either way is we do not need vaccines or most modern medical interventions.
the way this makes sense for RFK is that "healthy people" and "sick people" are ontological categories.
The thing that's "freaking people out" is defunding these programs is literally eugenics. It's not disabled people calling for cuts, it's brainless, cruel, non-disabled politicians working on behalf of the failed global capitalist economy and the american ethnostate, with the media following close..
none of our healthcare, welfare, or asylum seeker systems are administered in anything close to good faith atm and it's insulting, not to mention morally disgusting, that our media pretends they are over and over again while everybody who is forced to rely on them knows they are not.
If you let them ban porn, they will call you pornographic when they ban you.
you can no longer read this. I've removed all the "public nudity" (sex words) and submitted it for review.
So, as per Patreon, keep in mind: describing sex counts as public indecency. Yes, really.
I hope I live to see the death of puritanism. This is hell.
benches, buses, and bathrooms. they should be everywhere
worth a mention as well that it's always been a cash grab. there's plenty of waste built into the system, they could remove before cuts, they use an intentionally different (to both reality and centrelink,) definition of "diagnosed, treated, and stabilized" too.
break em down and vote the greens in instead is probs the best go at this point.
