They made it. I have been and remain profoundly inspired by the Artemis II astronauts and more broadly, the Artemis mission. Watching them reach so far with such skill has given me hope that we can reach across the divisions between us here on Earth with healing hands, while we live. #moonjoy

My prayers are with the crew of the Artemis II today as they complete their journey around the moon and come home. I understand it will be a dangerous undertaking, and I want very much for them to see their families again. #ArtemisII

Found on YouTube this morning. I was captivated by Rukmini Vijayakumar's performance of the sacred and wanted to share it with you.

Me too.
Watching the lunar fly-by with a black candle lit for the dark side of the moon, the brightness of this moment, and Reid Wiseman's wife Carroll, who passed away in 2020. The crew asked to name a lunar crater after her today, and NASA responded "Integrity and Carroll Crater, loud and clear."
From one of our best local comic artists, this gem. #AtlanticCanada #ArtemisII
Looking forward to this re-release of a book I've loved for years and cite in The Storyteller's Guide to Folklore.

Hard pass, but thank you for being concerned about my writing life. ;)
Look at this beauty, originally found on the Watkins Books website and written by a scholar of Old Norse literature. Well, that's thirty dollars gone from my bank account.
First they stopped telling me I was going to hell for playing D&D, and now they've stopped demonizing my tarot cards. Next they'll be lighting black candles to get in touch with the womb-like nature of darkness and not because they're spooky. Is nothing sacred, I ask you?
I was delighted to place my story "A Mouth Full of Stones" at The Daily Tomorrow last year. It's a great new magazine, and it was good to have an editorial team "get" my story. It's eligible for the Auroras, if you're voting. I hope you'll give it a read.

Just a bit of Sunday morning peace for you. We had a snow so heavy yesterday that we couldn't see the treeline for a while, but today the island is silver and blue and green. #CapeBreton #AtlanticCanada

TFW the song in your head is the one you're writing... I'm working on the music for my third EP while I finish writing SGF. It will be titled "Lead On, Wild God," and I'm presently working on a track titled "Prayer of the Living." Hopefully ready for release early next year.
On this International Women's Day and always, I honour my grandmothers: Norma June Duvall, Ormazinda Crisp, Sarilda Mays, Maragret Slusher, Nancy Ann Wade, Hannah Jones, Frances Bohannon, Ruth Barnes, Mary Knowles, and all of my foremothers before them. (Pictured: Norma June Duvall)
It celebrates war in the worst, most egotistical way.
Same. But thank you for sharing this.
