Testing the waters, Adelaide traced a line down Jace’s stomach with her index finger. Muscles rippled against her touch, as she halted her path at the elastic waistband of his sleep pants. Driven by desire, she hooked her fingernail on the edge of the band, pulling at the elastic ever so gently before ending the connection. The gentle rise and fall of Jace’s chest was the only thing that distinguished him from a statue until she withdrew her touch. His fingers cupped the bottom of her chin, gently tilting her head so she had to look at him. A nervous tingle rose in her throat as she let him guide her gaze. Their eyes met before he dropped his hand back to his side. They were only inches apart. Connected by the electric need flowing between them. The glint of the moonlight shining through the window illuminated Jace’s silhouette. Addie didn’t need the light to know his features. To know the depth of his hazel eyes staring into her baby blues. He had changed, aged, filled out, but he was still the same Jace. The same boy she’s always loved. “Kiss me,” Jace whispered, but it was almost a plea. The longing that laced his words sent a rush through Addie that landed directly between her thighs.
