I've seen comments on other websites saying this is a good use of AI because typesetting is just grunt work.

No it isn't! There is a lot of skill and craft to good typesetting and this is aiming to take jobs from people to automate what should be a human process!

This sucks!

A screenshot from NASA’s livestream of the splashdown of the Integrity spacecraft, the return of the Orion team, and the end of the Artemis II mission.

The image shows the command centre. A sign reads CAPCOM. On the back table is a plush of a white cat representing the character Artemis from Sailor Moon. Two staff members are visible. On the right is a one wearing a grey suit and a white shirt, on the left is another wearing a blue shirt and a navy blue Sailor Moon lanyard.

Whoa 🤯

The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...

#Artemis II -

Todays ‘Earthrise’ image is reminiscent of a similar image taken in 1968 by astronaut Bill Anders of Apollo 8

Bill was 1 of 3 crew who became the first to leave low-Earth orbit and travel to the moon.

The crew captured this image showing the rings of the Orientale basin during their lunar flyby on April 6.

At the 10 o’clock position of the Orientale basin, the two smaller craters – which the Artemis II crew has suggested be named Integrity & Carroll – are visible.

Left: A close-up photo of the plush named “Rise.” It is a pale white sphere with big black eyes, pink circles on its cheeks, and a smile. It wears a baseball cap shaped like Earth, featuring a brim with stars and rockets.

The plush was designed by eight year-old Lucas Ye from California and its name and design were inspired by the photo Earthrise. It functions as an indicator of gravity to enable the astronauts to remove their seatbelts at the right time.

I will forever be in love with the moon. Luna is our dearest and oldest friend, our most reliable companion through our loneliest nights.

Knowing that she is so deeply loved by our small, cosmically insignificant species brings me so much joy.

The fact that the last view we saw before the cameras lost contact was a moonrise over Earth’s horizon is incredibly poetic. I have tears in my eyes over it 🥹
