Long overdue!
36 years ago tonight, Twin Peaks premiered.
I'm currently reading @scottmeslow.bsky.social 's new book about the history of the show. It's so enjoyable AND I'm hearing stories/details I've never heard before, which is quite a feat (at this point) for a show so beloved and documented. Recommended!
Great now I have to watch it 8 more times in a row
Never a bad time!
Thank you, Niklas! Really appreciate your kind words.
There’s a lot going on right now but don’t lose sight of the fact that it’s April in the D
This is also the first chance I’ve had in a while to talk publicly about the ICE occupation of Minnesota, and I’m grateful for it
Felt like old times, in the best possible way, getting to talk Twin Peaks again with my (onetime) GQ colleague and (forever) friend Josh Rivera
Thanks! Loved your ep too!
Great new @danagould.bsky.social ep featuring @scottmeslow.bsky.social talking up his history of Twin Peaks book. Really fun convo, lots of Lynchian insight…

Cover for A PLACE BOTH WONDERFUL AND STRANGE
Almost 36 years since the show premiered & there's still so much to discover about Twin Peaks, as proven by @scottmeslow.bsky.social's new book A PLACE BOTH WONDERFUL AND STRANGE from @runningpressbooks.bsky.social. Check out my awesome, extensive interview w/Meslow here: comicon.com/2026/03/09/t...
Thanks Jenn!
Hi Niklas! Send me a DM and we’ll figure something out.
Never a bad time!
One more for Twin Peaks Day: An exclusive excerpt of A Place Both Wonderful and Strange at @vulture.com, from the chapter on everything that went wrong (and right!) with Season 2 after Laura Palmer’s killer was revealed:
A little present from me on this momentous Twin Peaks Day — my essay on what Twin Peaks really means (to me):
10.
True to its name, @scottmeslow.bsky.social's book delivers the goods. By splitting the difference between oral history, critical analysis, and literature review, he has constructed an authoritative companion for hardcore and casual fans alike.
I finished @scottmeslow.bsky.social’s new book A PLACE BOTH WONDERFUL AND STRANGE: THE EXTRAORDINARY UNTOLD HISTORY OF TWIN PEAKS, which just came out this week. Good stuff. Lots of new behind-the-scenes tidbits throughout (including what was planned for ABC season 3)…. (1/2) #TwinPeaks
A Goodreads reviewer says, "Mark Turetsky’s narration is perfectly eerie and grounded, like if Agent Cooper and an NPR host had a love child raised in the Black Lodge," which is frankly one of my favorite things I've ever heard about my work.
My audio edition of @scottmeslow.bsky.social's book A Place Both Wonderful and Strange: The Extraordinary Untold History of Twin Peaks came out yesterday.
A special trip inside the recording booth with @markturetsky.com, the brilliant audiobook narrator of A Place Both Wonderful and Strange: The Extraordinary History of Twin Peaks:
All you Peakie fans: May I remind you that today is a perfect day to give yourselves a present. 👇☕️📕🥧

Best and most accurate story I’ve read in a while on the state of things in Minneapolis
