But at the same time, Labor needs to be careful in how they fix the scheme.

The original intent of the NDIS is good, noble and the right thing to do. And getting back to that would be excellent.

I just hope they don’t make it painful along the way.

It’s appallingly galling for the Coalition to completely undo the intent of the NDIS, and allow a whole lot of entities - too many to prosecute individually - that don’t provide services, to receive funding through the program, and then launch an attack on the NDIS claiming “it’s too expensive”.

I can totally get behind the Albanese government removing the loopholes that the Coalition spent a decade putting in the NDIS, which sent funds to organisations, groups, who pretend they disability provided services but simply didn’t.

But don’t take payments away from eligible individuals. No way.
