This is super cool! The Artemis II re-entry was captured on the Space Station cam. It's really hard to see at first, but it starts at 32 seconds in the video, very close to the right side, under the S in SEN -- on the horizon. Lasts about 10 seconds or so. www.sen.com/video/48b728... #scicomm 🧪

Something like this should shut down any arguments that it's all fake. Right? That would be quite an effort to put something in the night sky heading to the Moon just for a hoax. www.lsu.edu/blog/2026/04... #SciComm 🧪

Truly honored and energized to be named among the 2025 AAAS Fellows. This one means a lot. Deep respect for this organization. It's fuel to go even deeper on promoting and communicating science. Let's get to work. #science #scicomm 🧪

New plan. When any president decides to go to war, his children of draftable age should be drafted and be stationed on the front lines, even if there isn’t a draft

Makers of Claude deserve our business after refusing to allow the Pentagon to use its AI for surveillance of Americans or in fully autonomous weapons. Chat GPT makers immediately said "we'll allow that". Chat is now spying on you for the gov. Delete your data on Chat GPT, cancel and move to Claude

Antarctic researchers solve long-standing Blood Falls mystery Antarctic glacier bleeds red water, and scientists reveal hidden pressure beneath the mysterious millennial ice.

Fun little paper we published last month got picked up by earth.com. The author got it mostly right. There was no press release so he seemed to go above and beyond and read the paper and some citations in it and used references. Nice work. #scicomm 🧪 www.earth.com/news/antarct...

I think I'd be quite happy if AI capability was frozen at this level. It is a handy tool now, but does not want to exterminate us yet. Nevertheless, I'm always very polite when interacting with it just in case... #scicomm 🧪

How the polar vortex and warm ocean are intensifying a major US winter storm A severe winter storm sweeping across the central and eastern U.S. in late January 2026 is threatening states from Texas to New England with crippling freezing rain, sleet and snow.

This is a cool little piece on the cause of our current cold/stormy snap and how these events are actually connected to planetary warming - in particular the warming of the Arctic #scicomm 🧪 www.preventionweb.net/news/how-pol...

I'm watching Fox News right now. I try to do it here and there. I think it's important. If all Fox viewers were required to watch MSN for 25% of the time and vice versa - problem solved.

How long before U.S. heath protocols and vaccine schedules start affecting travel? Only a matter of time before traveling with proof of measles vaccine will be required to enter countries that still understand science #scicomm 🧪 #vaccines

The oldest building around these parts. Scott's Hut built in 1902 to support his first attempt at the South Pole. It was on this expedition that he discovered the dry valleys across the McMurdo Sound and made some observations we still use today in our science. #scicomm #Antarctica #history 🧪

A-Hut, the original building of New Zealand’s Scott Base in Antarctica, built by Edmund Hilary in 1957. Picture taken from the bar in the modern Scott Base which is soon to be torn down because of its age and rebuilt (Hilary’s Hit will remain untouched of course). #scicomm

Found this old photo. Late 80s, Canadian High Arctic near Eureka (Ellesmere Island). I was on an ATV, and this guy just trotted behind me at the same pace no matter how I sped up or slowed down. No aggression at all. To this day I wonder - if I’d stopped, would he have just licked my face?

I eat organic, avoid processed foods, and load up on veggies, - but modern medicine, treatments, drugs, and vaccines are what truly extend our lives. That other stuff gives a little booster. Science matters. Watch this short video—it nails the point. www.youtube.com/shorts/mEOeC... #scicomm 🧪

So short sighted. At a time when Russia and China are growing their ice-breaking capabilities because they get it, the U.S. is in denial of what is happening on the planet. #scicomm 🧪 www.science.org/content/arti...
