Thanks man. With this experience, the reps have actually been amazing. They have told us about law changes that are causing high levels of patients across the US to be hit with surprise bills for thousands of dollars. Patients are not being notified until charges hit their accounts.
I don’t blame any of the customer care reps I have spoken with. All have led with empathy but are working in an environment where their hands are tied by policies set way above their pay grade. You can hear in the frustration and shame in their voices as they have to direct you down a dead end path.
The stress and anxiety caused by this intentional insanity is almost never discussed in debates over the future of health care.
All of this is done in service to our national obsession with profit over everything else.
We the people ALWAYS lose.
“You need to call this company”
“Oh I need to transfer you to a different department”
“The person that handles that claim is not in today”
“We stopped that program on Dec 31”
“You should be enrolled in a new program and I’m not sure why it didn’t happen automatically”
“I have no timeline for you”
It is impossible to overstate how broken the American health care system is. Been on the phone for over two hours with four different companies to dispute a $5500 charge for a medication that is critical to my daughter’s health. All of the hurdles to getting adequate customer care are deliberate.
My God. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is the best of the Game of Thrones universe. Episode four is right up there with one of the better episodes of television HBO has made and that is saying something.
When you hate and fear your neighbor who is an immigrant, what do you get? Anxiety, depression, higher blood pressure and isolation.
What does the for profit media and influencer class get?
Money and power.
Fear is their most powerful moneymaker. Never lose site of what is driving this.
Again, they know they will be fact checked. They just know their supporters won’t care.
They shot him in the back after they took away the gun he NEVER brandished. No amount of gaslighting will change that fact.
Bots, paid influencers, propagandists and foreign actors are trying to deflect, distract and debate reality.
I know we are all exhausted. But don’t let them win.
The lack of empathy being shown by so many people tonight in reaction to what happened today in Minnesota is in no way surprising to me. This is the reality of a world dominated by algorithms, paid influencers and propaganda outlets. This is not normal and it is ok to not be ok.
It’s time for Obama, Bush, Romney and Clinton to stand up and speak with one voice against what is happening in this county before it’s too late.
This is what happens when algorithms and propaganda make us see our fellow Americans as less than human. I don’t understand how we come back from this.
They executed a man in broad daylight and now they are gaslighting us all.
Make no mistake, they wanted this. They are sending a clear signal that this is what happens when you stand in their way. They want to silence all of us so they can continue to consolidate power. All of this is intentional
