But I am forever grateful for the great pacific garbage patch of friends that I’ve made from that game. We joked that that’s how we acquired new friends - we just kinda floated along and absorbed people along the way lol.

I just really miss the community. My community. I put blood sweat and tears into my clan, goddammit. We all still hang out for the most part in my server but no game will ever bring us together in such a way again, tbh.

I had built stories and lore around my guardians, and I got commissions of them. I loved being part of that world and playing in that sandbox. But then they just tossed away people I cared about and respected and I can’t abide that.

Man. I’m still not over quitting Destiny. Like, I am but I’m not at the same time. I have no plans to return, but, cold turkey quitting an activity I did pretty much daily for almost 10 years is just. A lot.
