I love Dreadnoughts. Pretty much every army I go IN on dreads. These are the dreadnoughts from my Iron Snakes of Ithaka. 😄

Work in progress… gotta do a few more bits, then matt this down to remove the shine and add some other blood textures, but it’s getting there. Going for a kinda Hellraiser vibe with my Emperors Children (previous purple scheme I did just lost my interest)

Enjoying a moment's respite, this Roane Deeper's Sergeant printed at 163% size (around 54mm) from Tiny Legend parts is complete. Painted entirely using @thearmypainter.bsky.social Fanatic, Historical, and a couple of John Blanche paints - kinda had to throw some grimdark on, right? Happy with that!

Haunted food. My mum spiralised a carrot, and the result is like a cross between Thomas the Tank Engine, Pinocchio, and John Carpenter's The Thing.

(I'll keep milking my Semovente for what it's worth because I'm *really* pleased with it.)

I think my proudest editorial note I've ever recieved was when I first wrote Warhammer in my early career, and I was told that my Skaven dialogue was correct. Apparently most manthings get it slightly wrong-wrong.

Close-up image of the current WIP state of my miniature painting interpretation of the original and iconic warhammer artwork "eye of terror" by Karl Kopinski. It shows the face and chest area of abaddon the despoiler. A lot of it is still just primed black, but the face and some of the armor detail is now painted in red and yellow osl with a purple backlight.

The rest of the model, the backdrop and the many little epic scale marines are unpainted and still primed black.

Four hours painting one face.
Paid off I reckon 😅

The rest of the osl is just the first bit of light placement sketching. It'll look much better eventually!

Alpha Legion & Sons of Horus vs Dark Mechanicum tonight. Great game. A draw in the end. Legions Imperialis is becoming an fave up there with BFG.

Yeah that's true, I did think about setting up all my other forest boards down one side too, but that kinda makes 2 distinct battlefields in 1 for line of sight. More something to try when opponent knows beforehand I think

Played 1000pt game of Man O’War last night, Bretonnians vs Dwarves. After cautiously approaching each other, all hell then broke loose. Despite their heavily armoured vessels the Dwarves were unable to withstand the massed broadsides of the Bretonnian fleet. 12-6 Win to the Brets #WarhammerCommunity
