Here's the new WIP update of the Eye of Terror / Abaddon project.

I'm very much in the middle of figuring out how to best place the fire. Conceptually it is engulfing the black legion below, and reaching about halfway up Abby's body.

WIP state of my miniature painting interpretation of the original and iconic warhammer artwork "eye of terror" by Karl Kopinski. The face and chest area of abaddon the despoiler is now painted in red and yellow osl with a purple backlight and the planet that is being crushed by the power claw is painted in blue green and white as well, while rifts in the planets surface are painted yellow orange and red. The rest of the model, the backdrop and the many little epic scale marines are unpainted and still primed black.

Four hours painting one face.
Paid off I reckon 😅

The rest of the osl is just the first bit of light placement sketching. It'll look much better eventually!

On my WIP depiction the latter has yet to be painted on the backdrop and everything but the planet is merely primed black at this time as well.
