That sounds so cool! The one I’m starting in September is a rivals-to-lovers witch academy. ☺️ Working on what I hope is a unique magic system and intriguing story. Outlining for the rest of the month to start on September 1.

Thank you! I’d love to talk more about being critique partners!
High fives back! I’m excited to start this one. What’s your new book about??
I don’t know who this is either, but hopefully this helps find them!

Drafting begins September. 👀
A dark, eerie movie poster with a shadowy background of water, tree branches, and the faint outline of a woman’s face underwater. At the top, text reads: “By Tiffany Darling.” Centered text: “She’s dying. But that’s not the scariest part… The truth is so much darker.” Below, the book title appears: Everything I Gave Her. Subtext: “Now Querying #Q.” At the bottom: “A haunting spiral into the lies we tell for love. Psychological Suspense #T. Rated #A.”
The nursery rhyme The Farmer in the Dell haunts Emily—but the final verse, “the cheese stands alone,” is no rhyme. When her best friend’s illness turns terminal, Emily has days to uncover a truth that could destroy her marriage, child, & the life she’s built around saving Lacey. #posterpit #Q #A

Editor Guide: Body Insurance by Judah Mahay. A fragile utopia that depends upon the deplorable. Retelling Frankenstein. Comps Never Let Me Go and Station Eleven. Mock book cover to the right.
"A moving, disturbing science fiction tale, as if Frankenstein met Flowers for Algernon and explored the continually evolving possibilities of what life can be in the 21st century." - Jason Sanford, Nebula Award Finalist, Philip K. Dick Award Finalist, and Nominee for the BSFA Award, the British Fantasy Award, and the Pushcart Prize
"Body Insurance is an express train of a science fiction novel, equally thrilling and scary. Judah Mahay does a beautiful job in making us believe the unbelievable. A book for and about the troubling future, which is already here." - Roger Rosenblatt, New York Times Bestseller
First Lines of Body Insurance by Juda Mahay: "Behind the viewing glass, half-assembled, the biopod twitches with the promise of life unintended, twisted into this manifested vulgarity. Baked as such in fluorescent glare, the white cloaks knit a handless arm to the torso. The myriad of hunched surgeons and medical techs plucks and prods the splayed skin that pretends to human—a grotesque facsimile at best. Overhead, a web of thin crimson tubes snake down from the ceiling interconnected, pumping life into a cadre of yet-to-be-assembled organs, limbs, and digits as if this flesh hopes to be made whole."
Frankenstein x Blade Runner
“Rose is the world’s darkest secret not thought possible—the first assembled human—threatening the utopia built on grown organs. Now, she must escape captivity before her failing body buries the truth…that she exists.”

A collage of nine images in a grid. A quill and ink pot on a desk. A half seen skull in shadows. Sky blue silk with gold lace. A stack of old books. The hilt of a rapier. Undead hands gripping an edge and pulling itself out of the ocean. The hull of a wooden galleon ship. The silhouette of a girl in front of a window. Gothic architecture. SABRIEL X CITY OF DUSK
When the necromancers attack three teens are all that stand between the kingdom of Lyr and the undead... they just don't know it yet.

A dying estate. A bankrupt legacy. A suitor offering salvation or a love that could destroy her. A mother’s death shrouded in mystery. A father she can’t trust. A blood curse feeding the manor’s hunger.
Lottie Bradbury must face it all.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is one of my favorite things about fantasy (in general). It's not just the heroes that save the day, but the everyday people who take the time to care.
Public Libraries can be wonderful places where children and adults can find books that they can see themselves reflected in, no matter who they are, and books that can introduce them to entire other lived experiences. Both are so valuable!
I have at least 15 other books ideas, with three fully outlined. Now to just actually write them. . . 🫠 How are we motivating ourselves to be productive these days??
Oooh, I'm also querying a YA, epic fantasy about telepathic, twin elves. If you like Tolkien but wish it had a teensy bit more romance, you should stick around fro updates. 😊
Checking this place out to see what it's all about.
I mostly post things about writing, reading (bonus points for fantasy and romance!), nature, dogs, and food.
Hoping to find my people here!
Congratulations on the promotion!! That's awesome!
