An international, multidisciplinary collaboration spanning structural biology, chemical biology, neuroscience, and translational medicine.
Grateful to everyone involved in making this work possible!
A polycyclic scaffold identified by structure-based drug design effectively inhibits the human P2X7 receptor pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40954149/ #cryoEM
Thank you, Steve!

Subtype-specific structural features of the hearing loss-associated human P2X2 receptor pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40938707/ #cryoEM
Our latest work on the human P2X2 receptor. We identified an alternate desensitized state conformation that provides insight into how ATP enters and/or leaves the pocket.

A true Physician-Scientist and @OHSUSOM #MDPhD alum, Dr. Steve Mansoor, sharing details about how his lab uses #DrugDesign principles to fit the ligand into the target receptor like a jigsaw piece. 🧩Thank you for your presentation Dr. Mansoor! @OHSUNews @OHSUCardio @OHSUSOM
The KCVI research retreat was a great success this year.
Very happy to participate. Looking forward to making this an annual event!
Adam Oken from our lab gave a great presentation summarizing some of the work we have been doing.
If you are interested, please watch a recording of his seminar, linked here:

Navigating the worlds of research and patient care requires both precision and passion, and @ohsunews.bsky.social's Dr. Steven E. Mansoor finds fulfillment in this work as a physician-scientist. ohsufoundation.org/stories/the-...
A paper from our group published a couple of months ago.
I am fortunate to have such a fantastic collaboration with amazing scientists from around the world.
