To date, this may be my favorite place I’ve backpacked in Colorado. It may have been a hellacious 3k feet in elevation to get here but so worth it. I’m mentally here as the snow is falling.

Tara Lazar has three PB layout templates on her blog, and I’m not sure which one should be followed for an initial submission to publisher/agent. One critiquer is adamant the story ends on page 28, but mine vary. Some end on 30 others 32.

Gotta love owls! I saw this magnificent great horned owl in Melbourne, Fla. recently. These owls are sometimes called the "tigers of the air" because of their ferocity and hunting skills. #Birding
So, I got starter-pack FOMO and decided to make one for writing people who know stuff and pass it on through courses, workshops, newsletters etc.
It includes all the savants who teach me stuff. I've probably missed people but these were the ones who sprung to my head.

Sharing a photo for the subject, not my picture-taking abilities. Driving home in Ottawa, Canada in October 2024, we saw these weird cloud formations. They’re called asperitas clouds. Apparently, they’re very rare. I’ve never seen them before.
