More tests, getting me closer to deciding on new designs and combinations. As eager as I am to get my new line out to the world, I appreciate and embrace that the process must take as long as it takes. Still much to do but starting to like more with each firing.

Full kiln is firing today (glaze issue that if to wait to be addressed when I got back), but my studio mate had some room in her kiln so I have some sneak peeks of what to expect.
Thanks!

Culmination of more than four months testing clays, glazes, and forms for a new wholesale line. In an act of great faith, I will load and fire the kiln tomorrow and then leave town for five days. Results next week.

These began as vehicles for glaze testing, but are turning out so well they’ve established themselves as part of the new body of work that will debut later this Spring.

We may be small in space but we are mighty in spirit and effort! So grateful to have this space in @playsinmud.bsky.social to fill commissions and develop new work while looking for the new studio space.
A poster for the economic blackout on February 28. It is a big red Jack rabbit on an aqua blue back ground. It says economic blackout in hand done black type. There are two black speech bubbles. One says “don’t buy stuff Friday February 28th. The other says we have power. Below it says No Amazon, Walmart, target, gas food, gas. Below that it says OK small business, use cash. Designed by Martha Rich.
I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!

Hi Teresa- it’s a rubber tipped stylus- this was Kemper (out of biz ☹️), and I’ve found some larger replacements, but it’s been a challenge finding a small one like this that isn’t too soft. I also use wooden stylus tools, but when scratching through slip I always liked this tool best.
