novel. There you go. They are a drug.
One book ends, another one begins. Next up: #TheJugger by #RichardStark.
Professional criminal Parker learns that an old colleague is in trouble. This could mean trouble for Parker, if certain skeletons in the closet are revealed. When the man dies, Parker has no choice but to act…
Another Parker
it was genuinely great. Very scary and atmospheric and wears its low budget with pride. Literally with nearly only a single person onscreen, this is a film about sound, and what you hear. I thought it was brilliant and an experience to have in a completely empty cinema on a Sunday morning.
#Undertone. Evy and Julian run a podcast on the supernatural. She takes the sceptic role and he takes the believer. When they receive an unsolicited email containing a set of MP3 files, the seriousness of the whole enterprise gets way out of hand.
Some very sniffy reviews about this, but I thought
Delayed cooking a nice steak by the video for You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) by #Sylvester popping up on my TV. Of course a brilliant song and one of the campest videos you will ever see. Easy to cosplay as well. Just need short shorts and a shell suit jacket. Footwear optional.
favourite ‘Lady in a fur rug’ bust of 1967 with the lady saying that she really could not be bothered to talk about it one more time.
If there is a point, and I think it is this, it is a film about not being summed up as what the media think you are.
RIP Marianne. You were great.
It’s a class piece of work, especially as it features the peerless Tilda Swinton and George MacKay in those roles, and Marianne as herself.
1 hour 38 minutes is not nearly enough time to sum up a life of such incident and it doesn’t. Especially notable with the skimming over of the tabloid
#BrokenEnglish. The life and times of Marianne Faithfull. Pop star, actress, songwriter, performer and ‘face’.
Documentary/mockumentary. A weird hybrid of a film, with a fictional Ministry Of Not Forgetting investigating her and The Assessor and The Record Keeper going over the events of her life.
Well done #CoventryCity. Another Midlands team in the top flight. Always welcome. Considered a bogey team back in the day for the Villa, so let’s hope that is not the case this time.
Had chilli con carne and rice this evening. It was delicious. Am now waiting for the #headache due to the salt content. Sometimes you just gotta go wild, baby! I will behave tomorrow.
to see, but initially at least, wilfully obscure. Not the first time I have sat in a film with no idea what was going on. Won’t be the last.
#Resurrection. The key to immortality is not to dream, but some do it anyway. These people are called Deliriants. A man travels through his dreams; each of them in a different cinematic style.
Stunning film, has to be said. Just do not ask me what any of it means. Wonderful to look at, beautiful to
Phew! Close call. Nearly watched a minute of #TheApprentice.

Don’t want to pay for, um, ‘specialist’ channels on your television, try the #Clubland music channel. So many hot women it’s ridiculous.
And men, if that’s your bag. Rob doesn’t judge.
Under the spreading chestnut tree.
I sold you and you sold me.
Hell of a film.

from the shelf. Back in the day I read a few of the Callahan collections of stories and then became distracted by inferior works. Have decided to remedy that appalling faux pas. Might take some time.
One book ends, another one begins. Next up: #CallahansCrosstimeSaloon by #SpiderRobinson.
Somewhere in Suffolk County, Long Island there is a bar called Callahan’s. It’s an unusual place. Any random night in the bar you might find yourself meeting time travellers, telepaths, aliens…
An old book
spend an hour and a half and feel better for supporting the cinema experience.
reasonable filler between the adverts. Fuze is a bit better than reasonable filler between adverts, mostly down to the cast and David Mackenzie’s direction. Pretty interesting procedural to start with and picks up immensely when the plot twists start and the violence starts to escalate.
Ok way to
#Fuze. When an unexploded bomb is found, a bomb disposal crew are called into action. At exactly the same time another crew are active, following a completely different agenda.
A Sky Original. Not really been very impressed with Sky Original films. Always found them to be either dull and boring or
Tell you what, one of the unexpected delights of a #GlamRock themed show on Now 70’s are the glimpses of prime period Pan’s People. Babs married Jesus, you know. There’s an Easter link.
Standing in a #bus shelter. The display says 16 minutes until the next bus. An elderly couple arrive.
Man: Bus comes in 6 minutes.
Woman: No 16 minutes.
Man: No 6 minutes.
Woman: Where’d you get that from?
Man: (Points to the printed timetable.)

afraid to come across on screen as really weak. That is a real actor.
basis of relationships start to unravel and you really do not know where it is going. Brilliant.
I have liked Zendaya in everything I have seen her in, but I love Robert Pattinson. He seems equally at home in blockbusters and little indie dramas, of which section The Drama is firmly positioned. Not
#TheDrama. During their wedding week, Emma and Charlie are asked an amusing question: What is the worst thing you have ever done? One of the answers is far from amusing, and exactly how much DO you know about your better half?
Brilliant black comedy. Unnerving, unsettling, off centre, as entire
With the oncoming of the #Easter bank holidays I have been confused all week. I am convinced that today is Friday. It’s not Friday, it’s Thursday. But I know it’s Friday and tomorrow is Saturday. But tomorrow is Friday, not Saturday. Confused? Me too. Bring on Saturday, sorry Friday.
#AprilFoolsDay. Think I’ve spotted one. He’s in the White House!
Thank you! Thank you! I’m here all week!
Not a good look when five minutes into the #week you want the week to be over.
