It was directed so wonderfully only for it to kind of nosedive into nothing. 😒
Sadly, I was underwhelmed with #Undertone. A great concept in principle with a great sound design. But the story was so basic and underdeveloped that it didn’t justify its runtime. No podcast recording is worth that amount of drama! Should have been a short film instead.
Somewhere within #Undertone is a great movie waiting to emerge.
Sadly, it never does.
Despite a terrific leading performance from Nina Kiri, the film isn’t as scary as it likes to think and comes across as plodding.
For something that promises much, it delivers so little.
Turn the volume up!!
