Labour abandoned the workers.
Reform are millionaires who were never for them.
People are waking up and voting Green. ✊

On International Women's Day, Hannah Spencer used her maiden speech to highlight some of the many working class, trade unionist women who began the fight we continue today.
She calls for other working class people to join her as an MP. Bus drivers, nursery workers, scaffolders etc.
GPTUG agrees. ✊
All Greens in unions, all unionists in Greens. Welcome! ✊

Green Party Trade Union Group Statement on Unite Affiliation Decision The decision by Unite to cut its financial affiliation to the Labour Party reflects a deep and growing frustration among working people who feel abandoned by a party that was founded to represent them. From the treatment of Birmingham bin workers to uncertainty facing energy workers and the ongoing undervaluing of public sector staff, Labour’s response to the challenges in 2026 facing working people is too often out of touch, managerial and disconnected from the reality of workers’ lives. Trade unionists are right to demand better.
Across the country, working people are facing a cost of living crisis, insecure work and a hollowed out industrial base. We need political leadership that stands clearly and unapologetically on the side of workers. Workers also need a serious plan for the future of jobs and industry. The transition away from fossil fuels must not be used as an excuse to abandon workers. Instead, it must be a planned and properly funded just transition that guarantees new, secure unionised jobs and empowers workers, bringing pride and economic regeneration to communities. That is why increasing numbers of trade unionists are looking to the Green Party.
The Greens support the right to strike, strong collective bargaining, higher pay, secure work and a just transition that protects and empowers workers and communities. The Green Party Trade Union Group stands in solidarity with workers organising for dignity, security and power in the workplace. We would encourage all workers who want a political party that truly backs trade unionism to join the Green Party and the Green Party Trade Union Group to help build a stronger voice for workers in politics.
Unite votes to cut Labour funding by 40%.
UNISON elects Andrea Egan as general secretary.
The Greens soar past Labour in popularity amongst NEU members.
We are witnessing historic shifts in the trade union movement.
The minimum wage for people over 21 is wholly inadequate as it is. For those under, it's utterly shameful.
Farage's suggestion that it needs to be brought down further is shameful. People starting out in the workplace deserve better than him, better than Reform, and better than Labour.
Graphic with a quote from Nigel Farage that reads "the minimum wage is to high for younger workers"
Young Workers Month has just started and Farage has announced that Reform wants to lower the minimum wage for young workers.
✊ Join us to fight for a £15 minimum wage and an end to wage discrimination.

Major victory for workers’ rights across Europe: the EU formally adopted the revision of the European Works Councils Directive.
Strengthens workers’ representation in multinational companies & ensures enforceable rights to information and consultation on decisions that affect jobs & conditions.
Defective equipment, no sick pay & ‘blackmail’😳
Birmingham Bin agency staff have come forward with what happens behind the scenes at Job & Talent - the refuse agency that currently has a contract with Birmingham City Council.
It’s no wonder workers are balloting to strike 📣
Amazon cutting 14,000 jobs while registering astronomical profits shows everything that’s wrong with the business.
Bezos spends billions launching celebs into space, but he can’t treat his loyal workforce with dignity.
We'll always stand with Amazon workers.

ASLEF is firmly anti-austerity. This legislation will impact the most vulnerable in our society, pushing hundreds of thousands of people into poverty, people who have already experienced 14 years of the Conservative's economic attacks. There must be real consultation on all proposed changes and proper time must be given to consider the results before a vote on any changes can take place. We urge the Government to listen to the concerns raised by Labour politicians and disabled organisations and charities and reconsider this course of action.

PCS is supporting the counter-protest at 1pm on Saturday, 28 June, as we stand together against the far right’s attempt to exploit the issue of grooming gangs to spread racism and Islamophobia.
Speakers will include PCS president, Martin Cavanagh among other leading trade unionists and campaigners.
Our pay campaign is just beginning. At conference, delegates voted to approve a plan:
✅Win pay progression
✅Address pay inequality
✅Recover after years of austerity
To deliver this, we need investment. If sufficient progress is not made, we will consider industrial action.
It's time to reverse austerity - not double down on it. Cuts to disability benefits are an attack on all of us.
There is an alternative: tax the rich.
If you're in London on Monday, join the protest outside parliament at 4.30pm

Nigel Farage the worker’s friend? No chance.
He voted against ending fire and rehire.
He voted against sick pay from day 1.
He wants to privatise the NHS.
We see you.
Things the Employment Rights Bill will do:
- End zero hour contracts ✅
- Ensure fair pay for workers ✅
- Support flexible working hours ✅
Things it won't do:
- Shut down pubs 🙄
Nigel Farage and Reform UK do not support working people. ❌
