#Soboleva (Letland) gebruikt vaak gezichten die geen gezichten meer zijn: glad, leeg, anoniem. Het zijn symbolen voor:
verlies van individualiteit en sociale uniformiteit. Ze plaatst haar figuren graag in herkenbare, wat ongemakkelijke ruimtes, zoals kantoren en wachtruimtes.
